Position Information
Job Title Game and Event Management Assistant - Part-Time Department Arena Operations Essential Functions
The role of the Game and Event Management Assistant is to support the Associate Athletic Director - Event Management in the operation, supervision, and execution of athletic events, with a primary focus on comprehensive game-day operations and specialized support for LOVB (League One Volleyball) games. This position minimizes facility-centric duties to focus heavily on event coordination, game support, and LOVB initiatives. This is a part-time, non-benefit-eligible position.
Work Schedule See Required Qualifications Additional Duties
  • Serve as the secondary game management lead at major athletic events and the primary game management lead at select events and matches.
  • Lead comprehensive game day support and operations specifically tailored for LOVB Volleyball games and events.
  • Assist with overarching game management planning, interdepartmental communication, and event coordination.
  • Manage game day setup, execution, and teardown workflows.
  • Coordinate visiting teams, officials, and event staff communication.
  • Other game and event management duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
The candidate must be able to accommodate the following schedule:
  • Be able to work on-site on Mondays for weekly event and LOVB coordination.
  • Be able to attend Tuesday coordination and planning meetings.
  • Be able to work designated pre-determined events and LOVB matches at their scheduled times.
Preferred Qualifications
The Candidate should be knowledgeable in the following areas
  • NCAA game management rules and protocols
  • The roles and duties of staff working athletic events
  • Various equipment and technology associated with athletic events
