Softball Operations Assistant
Division: Athletics Department: Softball Experience: Entry-level
Job Code: TBD Supervisor of Student Employee(s): April Charles
Requested Start Date: August 24, 2026
Assist in the everyday operations of a college softball program. Main duties include officiating junior varsity games, game day field prep and operations, and analyzing data associated with opponents and individual practice sessions.
Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
  1. Officiate Junior Varsity games.
  2. Game day field preparations: Line the field, prepare field for games, set up scoreboard, sound system, etc
  3. Practice preparation: get out bases, equipment, set up stations
  4. Data collection during individual sessions. Collect data to assist in individual development (i.e. track amount of strikes thrown for pitchers, track locations and pitches hit for hitters)
  5. Assist in analyzing films of opponents.
  6. Assist in social media content

Additional Comments: Knowledge of softball rules is a must.
