Role Description The Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, 35 HRS OF APPTS. PER WEEK. on-site role based at Imperial Animal Hospital in Imperial, MO. This position involves performing examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing preventive care such as vaccinations and wellness checks. The Associate Veterinarian will conduct surgeries and dental procedures as appropriate, interpret diagnostic tests, and maintain detailed medical records. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care, collaborating with technicians and support staff, and adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. The role also includes participating in case discussions, contributing to practice improvement initiatives, and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Missouri veterinary licensure.
  • Experience in small animal clinical practice, including routine exams, internal medicine, and preventive care.
