Job description

Join a growing team where you'll work side-by-side with experienced Press Operators, learning the setup, operation, and maintenance of industry-leading Gallus flexographic printing presses used to manufacture functional labels.
The Press Assistant is vital to increasing efficiency by working alongside experienced Press Operators in the setup and safe operation of flexographic printing presses. This role offers a defined career path, allowing Press Assistants to build their skills and advance to Press Operator through our comprehensive three-module training program.
Company Overview: CCL Label Healthcare & Specialty Buffalo is a fast-paced manufacturing facility with approximately 60 employees working across two shifts. Using state-of-the-art Gallus flexographic printing presses, we manufacture critical healthcare and specialty products, including patient wristbands and one-way air valves.
With an average employee tenure of 13 years, our Company offers the opportunity to learn from experts in flexographic printing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist Press Operator by ensuring they have the proper material and supplies.
  • Help set up new jobs by installing plates, cylinders, rollers, dies and screens.
  • Ensure rolls of raw material are mounted on the unwind shaft during production run.
  • Perform total preventive maintenance on the press and all equipment.
