Gallery Educators may also collaborate with artists, curators, and teachers to develop educational materials and activities.

How does a gallery educator typically collaborate with curators and artists to develop educational programs?

Gallery Educators work closely with curators and artists to design and deliver programs that enhance visitor engagement and understanding of exhibitions. This collaboration often involves attending planning meetings, sharing insights on audience needs, and co-developing tour scripts, workshops, or interactive materials. By combining their educational expertise with curatorial and artistic perspectives, Gallery Educators help create experiences that are both accessible and enriching for diverse audiences. This team-oriented approach also provides valuable opportunities to learn from professionals in other areas of the art world.

Job description

Do you love helping people look and feel their best?
Are you someone who can connect easily with people, has a great eye for style, and enjoys the satisfaction of helping someone find exactly what they need?
Infinity Eye Care is looking for an Optician / Eyewear Stylist to join our small, close-knit team.
We’re an independent, locally owned eye care practice that believes patients should receive more than great eye care—they should have a genuinely great experience from the moment they walk through our doors.
We're looking for someone who is warm, dependable, motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable with sales. Optical experience is a plus, but personality, work ethic, and the ability to connect with people are just as important to us.
What You'll Do
As an Optician at Infinity Eye Care, you'll help patients turn their doctor's prescription into eyewear they genuinely love.
You'll:
  • Help patients select frames that complement their style, personality, prescription, and lifestyle
  • Educate patients about lens options and confidently recommend products that will improve their vision and everyday experience
  • Create an enjoyable, personalized eyewear-shopping experience
  • Take accurate measurements and ensure eyewear fits properly
  • Adjust, dispense, troubleshoot, and repair eyewear
  • Explain insurance benefits, pricing, and payment options clearly
  • Follow up with patients and help resolve concerns
  • Help maintain an attractive, organized optical gallery
  • Contribute to the success of the optical department by working toward team sales and capture-rate goals
  • Jump in and help your teammates when needed
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Enjoys people.
You genuinely like talking with people, learning what they need, and helping them.
Is comfortable with sales.
You aren't afraid to make recommendations or ask for the sale—but you understand that great sales come from listening, educating, and building trust rather than being pushy.
Takes ownership.
If you see something that needs to be done, you don't wait for someone else to handle it.
Is a team player.
We're a small practice. There is no "that's not my job" mentality here. We help each other succeed.
Pays attention to the details.
Whether it's adjusting a frame, entering an order, explaining a lens option, or following up with a patient, the little things matter.
Is dependable.
Your teammates and our patients need to know they can count on you.
Is coachable and wants to improve.
We value people who are curious, open to feedback, and interested in becoming better at what they do.
And most importantly, we're looking for someone who is simply a good person—kind, honest, positive, respectful, and someone others enjoy working with.
Experience
Previous optical experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong experience in:
  • Retail sales
  • Luxury or specialty retail
  • Hospitality
  • Customer service
  • Fashion or styling
  • Medical or dental offices
If you're great with people, comfortable selling, eager to learn, and have the right attitude, we'd like to hear from you.
Why Infinity Eye Care?
We're not a large corporate optical chain.
We're a locally owned practice where your contribution matters. You'll work closely with our doctors and team, get to know our patients, and have an opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of the practice.
We believe in providing excellent care, doing what's right for our patients, supporting one another, and continually getting better.
We work hard—but we also want Infinity Eye Care to be a place where great people enjoy coming to work.
Think You'd Be a Great Fit?
We'd love to meet you.
Please apply with your resume and tell us briefly:
What do you think separates an average salesperson from an exceptional one?

We're less interested in finding someone who can simply "sell glasses" and more interested in finding someone who can build relationships, earn trust, create an exceptional patient experience, and help our entire team succeed.
***As part of our hiring process, we ask all candidates to complete a required assessment.  Please keep an eye out for a confirmation email, which will include the next steps***
