Overview

The Diversity & Community Business Development Sales Leader role is a sales-focused business development opportunity within Gallagher’s nationally recognized Diversity & Community Practice. The position is responsible for driving revenue growth through business development, strategic partnerships, agency relationship management, and market expansion initiatives. This is not a traditional DEI role; it is designed for a relationship-driven business professional with a proven ability to create opportunities, generate revenue, and deliver measurable business results. The successful candidate will help expand the Gallagher Connect Partners (GCP) Program and support Gallagher producers in winning new business nationwide.


How you'll make an impact
  • Drive new business growth through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Generate qualified opportunities through cold calling, relationship development, and market engagement.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships within the Gallagher Connect Partners (GCP) network.
  • Develop strategic growth plans with agency partners to increase engagement, retention, and business results.
  • Expand Gallagher's presence within diverse business communities, including minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ+owned, disability-owned, and other targeted business segments.
  • Build relationships with chamber of commerce, trade associations, centers of influence, and other business organizations.
  • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and business functions to develop relationships and source opportunities.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and business opportunities.
  • Represent Gallagher at industry events, partner meetings, conference, and community engagements.

 

 

 

 


About You

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7+ years of successful experience in business development, sales, insurance brokerage, consulting, agency management, or relationship management.
  • Proven track record of generating revenue and developing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred:

 Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.

  • Experience within insurance brokerage, risk management, employee benefits, consulting, or financial services.
  • Experience working with agency partners, strategic partnerships, or distribution channels.
