Job description

Chef/House Manager -Gal Friday

A busy family of 6 islooking for a talented Chef with House Manager capabilities for immediate hire. You’ll be working in Roslyn, Long Island so having your own car is a necessity. The chef will be responsible for preparing packed lunches 4-5 days a week, as well as live lunch. Semi formal plated dinners are served 4-5 nights a week. The family enjoys creative casual cuisine with the ability to elevate it a notch when there are guests. Baking skills are also greatly appreciated.

The first half of your day will consist of House Manager duties such as procurement of household necessities, acting as the liaison between the principal, his assistant, and various contractors and occasionally helping out with the children, etc... and various small ad-hock projects.

Requirements:

-creating weekly menus to be approved by the principal

-Creating daily packed lunches and live dinners.

-Procuring all kitchen supplies, including groceries and any other item as needed, maintaining detailed inventory lists

-Sanitation and organization of the kitchen (refrigerator, pantries, drawers, etc.)

-excellent management skills and the ability to give and take direction

-Must be very kid-friendly

-Excellent, verifiable reference

-Clean criminal and driving record.

Full Time. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday F 12-8 pm or 12-9 pm
