Professionals in this role use motion-capture technology, pressure sensors, and video analysis to evaluate movement patterns. They often work in healthcare, sports science, or rehabilitation settings to help patients, athletes, or individuals improve mobility and reduce discomfort. Depending on the setting, they may collaborate with physical therapists, podiatrists, or biomechanics experts to develop treatment or training plans.

What does a typical day look like for someone working in gait analysis?

A typical day in Gait Analysis often involves working closely with patients to conduct movement assessments using specialized equipment, analyzing collected data to identify mobility issues, and preparing detailed reports or recommendations for treatment plans. You may collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and determine the best interventions for each case.
