Job description

Job Summary
Pine Trace Golf Club is seeking a Mechanic to join our team. In this position, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and machinery, ensuring that our course is always in top condition for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience as a technician or skilled laborer in the hospitality or golf industry, with a strong knowledge of equipment mechanics and a passion for the game of golf. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on all golf course equipment and machinery, including mowers, tractors, and golf carts, to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns

  • Diagnose and repair any mechanical issues that arise, using technical manuals and tools as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed, assisting in the development of preventative maintenance schedules

  • Coordinate with other members of the golf course maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective use of equipment and resources

  • Communicate any equipment needs or issues to the Golf Course Superintendent in a timely manner

  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations in the operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery

  • Assist with other golf course maintenance tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for applicants who are:  

  • Friendly and Outgoing: Able to interact positively with guests and staff. 

  • Self-Motivated: Proactive in identifying and completing tasks without constant supervision. 

  • A Team Player: Willing to collaborate closely with other maintenance staff.

  • Detail-Oriented: Able to efficiently handle multiple support tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of experience as a technician or skilled laborer in the hospitality or golf industry

  • Strong knowledge of equipment mechanics, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues effectively

  • Familiarity with golf course maintenance equipment and machinery preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
