What is a GCDA?

GCDA stands for Gramme Panchayat Community Development Assistant. They are government officials in India who assist with implementing various development schemes and welfare programs at the village level. Their responsibilities include maintaining records, helping with beneficiary identification, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects related to health, education, and infrastructure within the panchayat. GCDAs act as a link between villagers and local government authorities, playing a crucial role in rural development.
