A Studio Operations Manager for a Pilates studio oversees the daily operations of the studio portfolio while driving growth, marketing effectiveness, and overall studio success.
This role combines operational management, client experience oversight, and strategic marketing initiatives to ensure the assigned portfolio runs smoothly. Responsible for studio market positioning for existing and new studios in the pipeline.
Role Overview

The Studio and Operations Manager ensure smooth studio operations, manages marketing initiatives, and helps grow membership and class attendance. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, optimizing studio performance, and implementing strategies that increase revenue and client retention.
Location- South and East Bay Portfolio
Salary - $80,000-$90,000 Full time
Bonus- 15% annually
Key Responsibilities

Training
Oversee training and recruiting initiatives alongside lead instructors. Mentor and develop lead instructors.
Serve as a studio coach when needed and maintain a schedule with a minimum of 16 classes per month. Any class above 16 will be paid on an hourly basis based on current salary.
Daily Operations Management
Oversee daytoday studio operations, ensuring classes run smoothly and on schedule
Oversee alongside the lead instructors the front desk operations, bookings, client checkins, and studio systems
Manage lead instructors studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety standards, and studio audits, provide feedback when necessary.
Monitor class capacity and scheduling to maximize utilization
Handle client issues, feedback, and service recovery when needed
Staff Coordination
Support alongside lead instructors the hiring, onboarding, and training of instructors and front desk staff
Ensure staff follow studio policies, brand standards, and service expectations
Foster a positive team culture and maintain clear communication across staff
Marketing Efforts

Marketing Strategy Implementation
Execute local marketing initiatives to increase membership and class bookings
Collaborate with management on marketing campaigns and promotions

What we need from you:

Flexible and open availability with weekends and holidays required.
It is required to be able to work on-site and travel to studios at least 75% of the week, with the remaining 25% of the week remote. Occasional variations as needed, based on business needs.
The position is full-time and exempt with an expected 40 hours worked per week (including classes coached).
Multi-unit management experience (3-5 years preferred).
Prior people management experience in high-end fitness, retail, or hospitality (3-5 years preferred).
Prior group fitness instruction, personal training, or professional athletic training experience (2 years preferred).
Bachelors degree (preferred).
Proficiency in g-Suite and MS office, specifically excel and google sheets.
Ability to lift / carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
Benefits: 10 paid vacation days per calendar year. 5 sick days per calendar year. Health, dental and 401K available for all full time employees.
