Job description

Overview:
Swank Construction Company, LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as an Operator/CDL Driver for our Grooving and Grinding Division. The primary purpose of the Operator/CDL Driver position is to perform a wide variety of general operator/labor/CDL driver tasks to reach project goals and as directed by the position's supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:

  • CDL A License with a Tanker endorsement required.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.
  • Must uphold Company safety and OSHA standards and guidelines.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the job.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work different shifts (day/nights/weekends).
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in, and understand, English.
  • Required to utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses & boots) at appropriate times.

Workdays & Shifts:
  • Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends).
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CDL A Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background check, including MVR

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an Operator or equivalent experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
