Position Summary

The Operations Intermediate Specialist - FX Services is responsible for assisting Foreign Exchange Traders and Relationship Managers in processing trades and ensuring trader positions are accurately updated.

Principal Responsibilities

Transaction Processing

  • Act as the focal point person between the FX NY, Tokyo & London Traders and Relationship Managers and the various pre/post-execution units, including FX Standing Instructions, Account Maintenance, Confirmations, Settlements, Investigations, and Reporting.
  • Responsibilities include trade entry, trade validation, trade confirmations, trade settlement.
  • Monitor and manage the Emerging Market currency process with traders and local market subcustodians.
  • Monitor any technical issues with FX systems and portal; working with Systems Support team to quickly resolve.
  • Participate in making process improvements within the FX Services department and seeing improvements through to completion.

Quality Control/ Assurance

  • Liaise with FX Risk Group and Compliance to ensure the reviews and controls in place are sufficient to manage the risk of client's trading activity.
  • Provide scheduled and ad hoc reporting to FX Trading, Clients and management as necessary.

Client Service

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to all FX functions, including trade initiation, reconciliation, discrepancies, and investigations.
  • Regular contact with clients and Client Service Groups to educate clients and resolve time sensitive issues.
  • Coordinate communication with FX Service team globally for inquiry resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • BS/BA degree
  • Foreign Exchange operations or related Financial Services experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate professionally with others
  • Strong client service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access

Salary Range

NJ: $65,000 - $80,000 base salary + annual target bonus

The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
