Job Description

The IT Technician – Fleet Imaging & Device Management is responsible for the preparation, configuration, maintenance, and deployment of BAM!'s fleet of computers and tablets. This role is focused on ensuring that all technology assets are properly configured, fully functional, and ready for deployment — working in close collaboration with the Engineering team and program instructors. This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position best suited for a self-directed professional who takes ownership of their work, maintains high standards of quality, and is committed to delivering reliable technical service.

Key Responsibilities

Device Imaging & Fleet Management

  • Image, configure, and prepare laptops, computers, and tablets for deployment to instructors and staff
  • Manage BAM!'s device fleet using Zoho's Endpoint Central and Microsoft Windows ADK (DISM, WinPE) to provide clean Window’s installations and mobile device management (MDM) in coordination with the Engineering team.
  • Ensure all devices meet BAM! standards for security, software configuration, and performance
  • Maintain accurate tracking of device status, assignments, and deployment readiness

Device Evaluation & Repair

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the device fleet
  • Evaluate damaged or malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs within scope
  • Coordinate with vendors or internal stakeholders for repairs, replacements, or decommissioning as appropriate
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of device issues and resolutions

Device Staging & Readiness

  • Ensure devices are properly staged, organized, and ready for deployment on schedule
  • Conduct readiness audits to verify device configurations prior to distribution
  • Maintain an organized and well-documented inventory of all technology assets

Technical Support & Service

  • Provide responsive technical support to instructors and staff across BAM! systems and devices
  • Approach all support interactions with a service-first, solution-oriented mindset
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage issue escalation appropriately while maintaining end-to-end ownership of resolutions

Qualifications

Core Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion
  • Results-oriented with an interest in operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across departments or functional areas
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a consistent track record of reliability
  • Committed to delivering high-quality service and support

Technical Skills

  • Experience imaging or configuring computers and tablets running Windows, ChromeOS, or comparable operating systems
  • Familiarity with device management platforms. Experience with Zoho's Endpoint Central and Microsoft Windows ADK.
  • Working knowledge of hardware troubleshooting for laptops, tablets, peripherals, and basic networking
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and workflows

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based at BAM!'s Colorado facility, focused exclusively on the management and readiness of BAM!'s technology assets. The role offers a meaningful opportunity to develop technical expertise within a growing, mission-driven organization, with direct visibility to senior leadership through a reporting line to the CTO.

Why BAM!?

BAM! offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a mission-driven education company that is making a measurable difference in students' lives. In this role, you will have genuine ownership and impact, working alongside engineering, operations, and education teams in an environment defined by clear expectations, measurable outcomes, and a commitment to professional growth.
