The Stanford Health Care TriโValley Family Medicine Residency Program, in partnership with University Medical Partners (UMP), a physicianโled organization and partner of Stanford Medicine, seeks a fullโtime, boardโcertified Family Medicine physician with an interest in hospital medicine to join as Core Faculty. This position is employed solely by UMP; collaboration with Stanford Health Care โ TriโValley and the Stanford University School of Medicine is strictly educational and clinical and does not create a coโemployment relationship.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and inpatient Family Medicine faculty practice in a communityโbased 8โ8โ8 program.
- Teach the full scope of Family Medicine to residents in a supportive environment.
- Supervise residents in the new UMP Family Medicine Residency Clinic.
- Supervise residents on the inpatient family medicine teaching service at Stanford Health Care โ TriโValley Hospital.
- Engage in curriculum development, resident evaluation, didactic sessions, workshops, and program administration.
- Participate in scholarly activities and research projects.
- Manage approximately six weeks of inpatient responsibilities annually and maintain a reasonable call schedule.
- Use the common EHR across all Stanford Clinic sites.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- Ability to obtain a Medical License in the State of California.
- Excellent clinical skills and teaching ability.
- Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship of future family medicine practitioners.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in residency program development and resident mentorship.
- Professionalism and ethical behavior as a role model for residents.
- Strong interest in scholarly activities, research, and advancement of family medicine knowledge.
- Ongoing professional development through continuing medical education.
- Prior teaching experience or GME leadership roles (e.g., Clinical Competency Committee, Program Evaluation Committee, rotation site director) preferred but not required.
- Experience in curriculum development or evaluation of residents in an ACGMEโaccredited residency program preferred but not required.
