Job description

Furnace Operator – Heat Treating
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 11:30 AM – 11:30 PM | Rotating Schedule | Every Other Weekend


We are currently seeking an experienced Furnace Operator to join a fast-paced heat-treating and metal manufacturing operation. The Furnace Operator will be responsible for safely operating industrial furnaces, loading and unloading materials, monitoring production processes, and ensuring work is completed according to established specifications and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor industrial heat-treating furnaces.
  • Load and unload furnaces according to production requirements.
  • Properly rack and position materials for heat treatment.
  • Verify furnace setup and operating parameters before and during production.
  • Monitor temperatures, cycle times, and equipment performance.
  • Complete required production and processing documentation accurately.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
  • Inspect materials and report quality concerns or equipment issues to management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of machine or furnace operating experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience.
  • Previous heat-treating, metal manufacturing, or industrial production experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Must be dependable and able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including every other weekend.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to complete E-Verify requirements.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
Compensation
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
