Our Reduction department plays a critical role in transforming raw materials into high-performance products that meet demanding customer specifications and quality standards.


Position Overview

We are seeking a Furnace Operator to join our Reduction team at our Euclid facility. This position is responsible for safely operating production equipment, performing machine setups and changeovers, supporting equipment maintenance activities, and ensuring products meet quality and traceability requirements.


The ideal candidate is a dependable manufacturing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, takes pride in producing quality work, and is willing to learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment. This role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.


Shift Schedule: 10pm-6:30am



Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment to meet quality, delivery, and productivity goals
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and process monitoring according to production schedules
• Conduct equipment inspections and maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
• Assist with troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and inventory transactions
• Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality requirements
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment
• Cross-train on multiple machines and support departmental needs as required

• Safe operation of equipment with strong adherence to company safety standards
• Consistent production output meeting quality and delivery expectations
• Accurate documentation, inventory transactions, and product traceability records
• Effective machine setups and efficient changeovers
• Strong equipment care, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance support
• Flexibility and willingness to support multiple production areas

Requirements:

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 1-3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Ability to use measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or industrial equipment preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a production environment
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule, including weekends
