Description

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm Part-Time

Location: 2355 Highway 36 West, Suite 100, Roseville, MN

Reports To: Office Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Summary Of Position: Provide clerical support for Administrative staff, as well as greet guests and answer phones.

Essential Functions:

  • Types from copy, rough draft, or general instructions specialized reports or other materials frequently requiring independent action and discretion on problems encountered. Maintains other records as needed.
  • Answer phones and route calls to appropriate department/person.
  • Sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Types form letters and correspondence based on information from records and files. Independently prepare rough draft reports, narratives, and statistical tabulations.
  • Gives information in person or by telephone to other facilities and the public, applying significant knowledge of organization structure and procedures.
  • Knowledge of business English, punctuation, arithmetic, and spelling; modern office practices and procedures; recordkeeping methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with minimum instructions, adhere to prescribed routines and practices, maintain records and to make reports requiring accuracy.
  • Ability to work well with others, and to assist the public, as well as internal staff cooperatively and courteously.
  • Skill in the application of modern office techniques and the use and care of office machines and equipment. Ability to type at a prescribed rate of speed.
  • Dependable – consistently at work and on time.
  • Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Degree or equivalent required.
  • 6 months receptionist or customer service experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people, adapt to different work volume and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products required.
  • Must be competent in using a computer keyboard and email.

Daily Physical Demands Required For Performing Essential Functions Of The Job:

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Environmental/working conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment. It involves frequent contact, in person and on the telephone, with associates and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with upset people.
