Job description

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

 OVERALL FUNCTION

Digital Fundraising Managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their assigned fundraising teams. This includes but is not limited to leading the strategic execution of several fundraising channels for their programs, overseeing the technical development of Digital Strategist to aid in said execution, and are the primary decision-makers of resource management and workflow on their respective teams. Account Managers are the main point of contact for their clients and report to the Deputy Director of Fundraising. 


Reports to: Deputy Director of Fundraising  or designee 

Direct reports: Associate Digital Fundraising Managers, Strategists, Associates, Fellows 

 KEY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establishes workflow and manages resources for the efficient and precise execution of client fundraising programs
  • Directly manages and conducts administrative oversight of  Associate Digital Fundraising Managers, Strategists, Associates, Fellows 
  • Actively develops team members by creating development plans for their staff and track said development 
  • Holds weekly and bi-weekly 1-1s with ADFMs and Strategists or Associates respectively 
  • Conducts performance reviews, updates Toolkits of the team
  • Identifies skills gaps and performs/coordinates trainings 
  • Assists in the hiring process of Digital Associates  and Fellows 
  • Makes hiring decisions in conjunction with leadership for their teams when necessary
  • Participates in client planning meetings
  • Advises and assists with departmental processes and priorities
  • Ensures that collaborative processes with other Mothership teams and departments are followed
  • Leads the launch of new clients 
  • Creates and implements onboarding/training plan for new team members
 KEY FUNDRAISING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sets fundraising projections and volume expectations
  • Formulates spending recommendations for client programs
  • Manages client performance daily and suggests ways to scale performance
  • Advises on client content calendar and leads the execution of rapid response 
 KEY CLIENT-FACING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees the day-to-day relationship with clients 
  • Relays any feedback from clients or the leadership team to the team
  • Communicates with clients about fundraising projections
  • Problem solves around prohibitive content restrictions from clients 
  • Leads new client onboarding process for team’s clients
 QUALIFICATIONS 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational, time-management, leadership and superb communication skills. Can effectively delegate tasks and see them through to completion in a fast-paced environment 
  • Client management experience and the ability relay, formulate and execute strategic decisions with confidence
  • Strong familiarity with digital fundraising and Democratic politics 
  • Ability to juggle a wide range of responsibilities as assigned 
 

Experience:

  • 1+ cycle of experience leading a digital fundraising team or equivalent fundraising role

Term: 

  • Regular, Full Time

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Remote work environment. Typically, 40 hours a week although more is required during peak times.
  • Ability to travel to Washington, D.C. as needed, and is comfortable working a-typical hours (on both nights and weekends) leading up to key deadlines.
  • Sedentary work; Extended time spent in front of a computer screen, Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
