Job description

The External Funding Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing government funding programs relevant to the organization. This position involves monitoring compliance requirements, conducting thorough reviews of grant agreements and contracts, loan applications and filings related to RUS, developing internal controls, fostering stakeholder engagement, identifying, and mitigating compliance risks, and maintaining accurate documentation for reporting purposes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred

Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of experience in the electric utility industry and/or regulatory.

Equivalent Experience: A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy in work, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, high ethical standards and willingness to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities. Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple large and complex projects at once. Ability to support teams across the organization.
