Job description

The work

This project is a multi-year program to consolidate 4 SAP ECC systems into a single composable ERP platform. The SAP Finance Consultant will migrate existing capabilities from the existing SAP ECC instances into the new consolidated SAP S/4HANA transactional core using industry standard tools such as SNP's Crystalbridge. This resource should have SAP Public Sector Finance subject matter expertise in the Funds Management (FM) module and understand its integration with other finance-related modules including: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting. Within Funds Management, the ability to track (and control) detailed budgets organized by Fund (source of budget), funds center (area of responsibility), and commitment item (type of expenditure) is highly preferred. Configuration experience and the ability to create a budget for each level of this 3-dimensional structure is essential in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements and design solutions to meet these requirements
  • Facilitate interaction with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements
  • Develop test strategies and manage large complex test efforts
  • Business process design and system analysis
  • Coordinate and manage across architects, developers, technical services (i.e. BASIS, Middleware, Portal) and business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities
  • Maintenance, enhancement and/or development of SAP modules, including interfacing with other applications
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning
  • May manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members

Here's what you need:

  • Funds Management experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ECC to S/4HANA migration projects using industry tools such as SNP Crystalbridge or SAP DMLT
  • Team lead experience
  • Relevant SAP certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Eligibility requirements:

  • US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
  • Must be eligible to obtain a government Secret Clearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
