Role Description

We are seeking an experiencedeLearning Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our Quality Improvement (QI) Team on a on-demand basis. This is a hands-on, remote role based in North America.

As a member of the QI Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning products, and other learning initiatives. A key focus of this role will be ensuring that learning assets meet accessibility, functionality, quality, and client branding standards.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, including Project Managers (PMs), Instructional Designers (IDs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Graphic Designers (GDs), and Media Developers (MDs).

This role requires someone who is comfortable not only identifying quality and accessibility issues but also making direct edits to learning assets using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically confident, comfortable working independently, and able to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

This is a fully remote position.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of eLearning, ILT, and related learning assets, such as Storyboards and PDFs, for functionality, accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and conformance with client and industry standards.
  • Review learning products with a strong focus on accessibility and client branding requirements.
  • Convert existing learning assets into updated, branded, and accessible templates.
  • Make direct edits and corrections within Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and log bugs and edits in Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline review links.
  • Review and write meaningful alternative (alt) text for images and other visual content when needed.
  • Verify screen-reader compatibility, reading order, tabbing order, and keyboard navigation when needed.
  • Identify functional, content, formatting, accessibility, and usability issues and clearly document required corrections.
  • Conduct final quality checks following revisions to ensure identified issues have been resolved.
  • Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to members of the development team.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues while maintaining project timelines and client expectations.
  • Work independently across multiple projects and priorities in a remote environment.

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Education, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of three years of relevant quality assurance experience in one or more of the following areas: eLearning QA/testing, ILT materials, technical editing, content editing, technical writing, proofreading, or training/learning content.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and testing eLearning products for quality, functionality, and accessibility.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing projects in Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility principles and experience reviewing learning assets for accessibility.
  • Experience writing effective alt text and reviewing accessible language.
  • Experience verifying screen-reader compatibility, reading order, tab order, and keyboard navigation.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across content, functionality, branding, and accessibility.
  • Ability to remain focused and accurate when completing detailed or repetitive QA tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently in an on-demand environment.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenges positively and collaboratively.
