Health & Safety Intern

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Health & Safety Intern to support workplace safety initiatives and compliance programs that promote a safe and healthy manufacturing environment. This internship offers hands-on experience with safety training, incident investigations, and compliance documentation while working alongside experienced safety professionals.

Accountabilities

  • Assist with safety data tracking and compliance recordkeeping.
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Participate in safety inspections and hazard identification activities on the plant floor.
  • Help develop and maintain training records and safety-related documentation.
  • Assist in employee orientation sessions, focusing on health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that improve workplace safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Industrial Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in workplace safety, compliance, or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
