TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Preoperative for a travel nursing job in Kent, Washington.

We're looking for Pre-Op RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Kent, WA. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.
As a Pre-Op Travel Nurse, you will administer pre-surgery medicine if necessary, evaluate admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and adhere to necessary pre-operation policies and procedures. Pre-op RNs will be responsible for the coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses, identification of expected outcomes, and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
As a Pre-op Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Provide basic bedside care.
  • Implements and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment.
  • Provide IV therapy.
  • Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
  • Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
Pre-Op Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Pre-Op RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements*: BLS, ACLS, PALS, 1 Year
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
