Job description

InCord has an opening for a detail-oriented Project Estimator.
The Project Estimator works alongside the Sales Support Team to provide internal support for outside sales managers. The Project Estimator's primary focus will be to generate quotes and proposals to assist in the management of projects, provide customer service and act as a liaison to various internal departments such as production, purchasing, and technical support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting departmental and company growth, operational excellence, and our commitment to delivering our products and services in a manner that goes above and beyond customer expectations.

Requirements
  • Provide inside project support for outside sales manager(s).
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying requests for quotes, CAD Files, specifications, and related documents.
  • Uses all necessary identified information to complete quote requests for various divisions, as assigned.
  • Prepares BOM's by gathering CAD Files, specifications, and related documents.
  • Calculates netting dimensions and hardware counts.
  • Review major projects (project management) with inside team and communicate questions, concerns and/or recommendations to Sales Managers.
  • Use CAD programs to obtain netting dimensions and hardware required to create a proposal/estimate.
  • Create installation instructions when needed.
  • Exercise independent judgement, discretion and decision making about matters of significance regarding sales.
  • Strong Product Knowledge for multiple divisions including netting products, hardware, general installation, and following production steps.
  • Strong Customer Service and interaction with customers, providing quotes and answering questions or discussing complaints when sales manager isn't available.
  • Ongoing communication with divisions' production manager to inform them of customer compliments & concerns, pending projects, and managing lead-times for rush orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience with project management, estimation for proposals or a related equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of proven customer support experience.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, other Auto desk programs
  • Strong math skills including but not limited to basic arithmetic, unit conversion, and general understanding of measurements.
  • Ability to calibrate measurements.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Excellent communication skills; good written and verbal English
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft office suite; excel or related software.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work independently and as a team.
