Job description

Harbor is seeking a Psychologist (PhD or PsyD in Psychology) to join our interdisciplinary Developmental and Behavioral Services team at the Port Sylvania location. This role involves providing diagnostic and treatment services for children and youth, as well as supervising psychology assistants within a collaborative clinical environment. Candidates must hold a current license to practice psychology in the state of Ohio and have experience conducting psychological testing and evaluations.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Education:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.

Experience:

  • Competency in completion of assessment, psychological testing evaluations, treatment plan development, and provision of empirically support treatment methods.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • License to practice psychology in Ohio; must maintain active licensure in good standing.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.
  • NCI/CPI Certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience completing evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates competency in the evaluation of individuals through the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological testing measures.
  2. Demonstrates skills in provision of individual and/or group therapy through utilization of best practice, evidence-based theoretical approaches.
  3. Creates clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
  4. Demonstrates ability to consult effectively with other agencies, schools, the public, and other professionals as required.
  5. Fulfills or exceeds billable service expectations established by Harbor.
  6. Provides crisis intervention as needed.
  7. Supervises the work of Psychology Assistants/Assistants to Psychology according to OPA ethical code and licensure limitations.
  8. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
