Work Environment

This position primarily operates in an outpatient office setting, allowing for flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate clients' mental health concerns and identify their treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique challenges and goals, ensuring that therapeutic interventions are data-driven and personalized.
  • Facilitate a variety of therapy sessions, both individual and group, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
  • Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Enhance the recovery process by providing education and emotional support to clients' families, promoting community engagement and active participation in support networks.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with industry regulations and ethical guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a broad spectrum of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse issues. As a mental health counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys, providing not only therapeutic support but also guidance in developing coping strategies and resilience.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling with a solid understanding of evidence-based practices for treating various mental health disorders.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and motivate clients towards positive changes.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain client records in accordance with regulatory standards.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, working directly with clients facing mental health challenges.
  • Specialized training in specific therapeutic techniques or modalities will be viewed favorably.
