We're looking for a full-time Loan Partner 2 (LP2) who will help our applicants get mortgage-ready and support them throughout the loan process. The Loan Partner 2 is responsible for accurately preapproving home loan applications, issuing and managing quality pre-approval letters, and overseeing the success of every loan in the committed pipeline.
The LP2 will work cohesively with the Loan Officer(s), borrowers, loan processors, underwriters, and third parties to close 95%+ of all loans on time while providing an outstanding experience from application to close. This position requires substantial cash, credit, capacity (income), collateral, communication skills, and the ability to be resourceful.

Compensation- $55,000 - $73,000, depending on experience (re-evaluated annually), with a per-file bonus
Responsibilities
3 Core Duties Key Measurements
Pre-Application:
โข Contact all borrower(s) within 24 hours after an Initial Loan Consultation
โข Request and review cash, credit, and capacity (income) qualifications for all borrowers
Pre-Approve:
โข Accurately pre-approve all eligible borrowers
โข Handle payment scenario requests and accurately estimate closing cost scenarios
โข Proactively contact pre-approved buyers
โข Communicate effectively with all referral partners (Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners) using clear, accurate, and compliant language
Pipeline:
โข Onboard all newly received contracts for the Loan Lock Consultation
โข Submit loan applications to Loan Processing for eDisclosures
โข Execute outstanding weekly borrower and realtor Updates, Pre-Closing Funding Calls
โข Ensure 95%+ loans close on time with daily check-ins to address choke points
โข Resolve 95%+ of loan issues before escalating to the Loan Officer
Essential Duties of this Position:
Prequalify:
โข Contact all newly received applications within 24 hours of assignment by the LO
โข Thoroughly review 1003 with the borrower(s) and request the necessary documents
โข Explore all options before turning down a pre-approval request
โข Keep Realtor and referral partners updated on the progress
โข Stay up to date on investor guidelines program changes
Pre-Approve:
โข Communicate pre-approval parameters to borrowers
โข Provide supplemental pre-approval documents
โข Notify the referring Realtor immediately after issuing pre-approval
โข Expedite rush pre-approval requests
โข Flag any red flags or potential issues to the LO or Team Captain (if applicable)
โข Dedicate a time block weekly to pre-approval outreach
Pipeline:
โข Expedite onboarding for newly received contracts
โข Perform a daily "gauge check" to identify "hot loans."
โข Attend daily branch pipeline meetings to track loan milestones
โข Deliver weekly borrower update calls (and Realtors, when needed)
โข Coordinate closely with loan processing teams
โข Contact borrowers, attorneys, and realtors 24 hours before contingencies expire
โข Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy against the Loan Estimates
โข Conduct pre-closing phone calls (48 hours before closing)
โข Make congratulatory funding calls to borrowers, Realtors
โข Provide post-closing/funding support
โข Be available after hours for urgent questions (via mobile email and text)
โข Consistently exceed borrower and referral partner expectations
Qualifications
โข Must maintain an active NMLS license or be willing to get licensed within 60 days of hire
โข Minimum 3 years in mortgage processing, underwriting, or origination
โข Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and major investor guidelines
โข Experience with Loan Origination Systems (Encompass, ARIVE, Lending Pad, etc.)
โข Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
โข Must be coachable and willing/able to embrace AI into daily workflow
โข Strong verbal and written communication skills
โข Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
โข Excellent time management and organizational skills
โข Ability to collaborate across the branch and corporate levels. Completion of regulatory compliance training
โข Ability to speak, write, and effectively communicate in English
