Job description


Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physicians’ orders and in adherence to department protocols.
  • Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.
  • Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.
  • Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent.
  • Cleans equipment after each use.
  • Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology. One year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required. Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department is preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. State of Washington Certification as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Qualifications:

Required
