Job Summary:  This Mammo Tech opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient Monday-Friday schedule.  This individual will perform diagnostic mammography/Dexa/ X-ray procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.  Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram.  Participates in CQI activities

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards and extraneous radiation to patients
  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure.
  • Thorough understanding of breast anatomy

  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors

Qualifications
  • High school graduate; BS degree preferred.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography.
  • Certified in the State of Nevada to practice and administer radiation.
  • One-year mammography experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
