Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Nashville, TN

Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas West

Department: Imaging | Multimodality

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Partner directly with physicians during complex, specialized imaging procedures to deliver high-resolution diagnostic images and support target interventions.

  • Position patients compassionately and configure technical parameters accurately to capture crystal-clear images while maximizing patient comfort and safety.

  • Administer contrast media and prescribed medications safely within your clinical scope, ensuring strict compliance with state and federal guidelines throughout the procedure.

  • Submit completed imaging, correct anatomical markers, and comprehensive patient histories to the digital archiving system promptly so the medical team can make timely diagnostic decisions.

  • Maintain strict radiation protection standards and a clean, safe clinical environment across all treatment rooms to uphold total regulatory compliance and patient safety.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Required Credential(s)
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
