About the Role:


We are seeking a Lead Modern Workplace Engineer / Lead Technical Architect to lead, support, and continuously improve our Microsoft 365, endpoint, identity, collaboration, Power Platform, Copilot, and security solutions. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable modern workplace technologies across a multi-site organization.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can administer core Microsoft cloud platforms, establish standards and governance, drive automation, and partner with business and IT leadership to improve operational efficiency, security, and employee technology experience.


Qualifications


ยท Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

ยท 5+ years of experience administering, securing, and supporting Microsoft 365 environments in a business or enterprise setting.

ยท Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams administration.

ยท Experience supporting cybersecurity, identity protection, endpoint compliance, and security policy enforcement.

ยท Experience with RMM platforms, endpoint management, device lifecycle support, and remote troubleshooting.

ยท Experience using PowerShell or automation tools to streamline administration, reporting, and operational tasks.

ยท Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, establish standards, and guide implementation of modern workplace solutions.

ยท Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications


ยท Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment, governance, adoption, and user enablement.

ยท Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and integration with Microsoft 365 services.

ยท Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Endpoint Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, Power Platform Fundamentals, or Power Platform App Maker Associate.

ยท Healthcare IT experience, including familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, security risk assessments, and compliance-driven technology environments.

ยท Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention, retention policies, and compliance management.

ยท Experience designing SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive information architecture, permissions models, and lifecycle management practices.

ยท Exposure to cloud-based VoIP phone systems and call routing.

  • Establish technical standards, governance models, documentation practices, and platform best practices.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to align technology solutions with organizational priorities.
  • Microsoft 365 & Collaboration
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Manage mail flow, retention policies, security controls, mailbox administration, and collaboration platform configuration.
  • Support document management, permissions, lifecycle practices, and collaboration governance.
  • Endpoint & Identity Management
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, provisioning, application deployment, patching, compliance policies, and mobile device management.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including user and group management, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
  • Support endpoint lifecycle management, remote troubleshooting, and secure access practices.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Implement and support Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, DLP, Information Protection, retention, and compliance policies.
  • Monitor security alerts, investigate potential threats, and assist with remediation activities.
  • Support security audits, risk assessments, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement of the security posture.
  • Technical Operations & Automation
  • Use RMM platforms to monitor endpoints, infrastructure, and service health.
  • Respond to escalated technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term improvements.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to improve administration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Design, develop, and support Power Automate and Power Apps solutions that streamline business and IT workflows.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable low-code/no-code solutions.
  • Establish development, security, governance, and support practices for Power Platform solutions.
  • Microsoft Copilot Administration & Adoption
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI-powered services.
  • Support Copilot deployment, licensing, governance, security, and adoption initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify practical Copilot use cases, promote responsible AI usage, and improve productivity.
