Job description

This position is responsible for all aspects of systems administration including maintain and administering our company's networked system of computers. The system administrator's responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
  • Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
  • Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
  • Providing technical support when requested.
  • Documenting any processes which employees need to follow to successfully work within our computing system.
  • Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
  • Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
  • Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.
  • Troubleshooting system and server errors.
  • Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
  • Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase.
  • Managing user access.
  • Manages small to large sized projects according to agree upon budgets and schedules
  • Assists with technology planning through ongoing research
  • Experience managing VMware vSphere infrastructure and Omnissa Horizon VDI environments including NVidia GPU's
  • Skilled in administration of Connection Servers, App Volumes, DEM, instant clone pools, and Windows 11 24H2 golden images.
  • Experienced supporting Enterprise Virtual Desktop deployments, performance optimization, patch management, and end-user computing solutions.
  • Proficient with various thin client management

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Proven work experience as a Windows Administrator is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, Python, and similar languages.
  • Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
  • Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
