Job Description:

Job purpose

The purpose of the Quality Data Analyst is toassistthe Director of Quality in implementing andmaintaininginternal quality programs and government quality programs throughout the organization, across the practice's multiple service lines. The Quality Data Analyst willassistwith activities related to company andgovernment directedprojects as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage incident training and reporting

  • Sign off on all incident reports, ensure they are routed to the correct department manager, and review and escalate as necessary

  • Prepare biannual and annual incident summary reports

  • Maintain an incident/accident dashboard

  • Compile Improvement Activities (IA) report summaries on a recurring basis for Director of Quality sign-off

  • Review service line-specific IA forms and support integration into shared Quality workflows

  • Compile IA reports for partner or affiliate organizations as applicable

  • Pull MIPS reports across service lines and review for discrepancies

  • Review frequency varies based on requests, investigations, and correspondence

  • Support MIPS measure integration across service lines and review patient data in operational dashboards for measure accuracy

  • Prepare annual reports and quality trending reports

  • Maintain automated reporting for required patient assessment and documentation data

  • Pull and review recurring compliance and operational reports

  • Compile and distribute patient assessment data to relevant departments

  • Review missing orders or documentation against automated system output

  • Maintain department and company forms, training materials, SOPs, etc.

  • Maintain a shared repository of department documentation; update as needed and conduct a full review annually

  • Support implementation of quality projects and initiatives throughout the organization

  • Includes projects such as student request processes, laboratory-related IA reports, and critical value reporting processes

  • Develop SOPs for clinical data processes (e.g., critical lab result routing and escalation)

  • Perform data mining, analysis, and interpretation of results for assigned metrics related to internal and government quality programs

  • Ensure that all processes contributing to the performance of the department are conducted properly

  • Run coverage reports as needed and review for accuracy

  • Maintain knowledge of quality legislation and compliance issues

  • Provide training and support to department employees related to new project implementation

  • Maintain reports and database functions related to assigned projects

  • Provide reports uponrequestfrom clinical and support department leaders

  • Track and review all adverse reactions

  • Maintain an automated reactions dashboard

  • Log related report calls asrequired

  • Review billing related to care management programs, including copays and write-offs

  • Reviewbilling enhancements and updates within the practice EHR

  • Support transcription process updates and improvements

  • Supportadhoc data projects as assigned

  • Provide training and support to be prepared for potential inspections by regulatory authorities

  • Complete audits and reporting tasks per department calendar

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be familiar with quality processes, risk management, and government terminology/programs (e.g., MIPS, Improvement Activities)

  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and through written work, including detailed reports

  • Must be well organized

  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work in an efficient andtimelymannerin order tomeet assigned deadlines

  • Must be able to work well with others as well as independently

  • Must be flexible and adaptive

  • Must be a quick learner and self-starter

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, public health, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least one year in quality assurance, quality improvement, compliance, and/or data analysis preferred

  • Healthcare experience preferred

Working conditions

This positionworksin the administration department of a multi-specialty medical practice. There may be times when some direct patient care or patient interactions may berequired. This position may have to work overtime (nights or weekends)in order tocomplete tasks.

Physical requirements

This position requires that the employee be able to sit in front of a computer for the duration of the workday. This position also requires that the employee be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the workday.
