Specifically, we have openings for an adjunct faculty position to teach a trial advocacy class in collaboration with two full-time faculty members, and we have openings for several mock trial coaching positions. Both the teaching position and the coaching positions are non-tenure-track positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy would be responsible for co-teaching a trial advocacy course which entails collaborating with two full-time trial advocacy professors, attending a lecture one evening a week, and teaching a small group section of the trial advocacy course on a separate evening. The Adjunct Professor - Mock Trial Coach position would be assigned to coach one or more of our inter-school mock trial teams. Responsibilities for both positions include:

  • Assisting with the administration and development of the Mock Trial Program, including coaching teams and coordinating with the Associate Dean of Advocacy to plan competitions, practices, and travel by coaches and team members.

University of the Pacific recognizes that diversity, equity, and inclusion is foundational to the success of our valued students and employees. We prioritize policy and decision-making that demonstrates awareness of, and responsiveness to, the ways socio-cultural forces related to race, gender, ability, sexuality, socio-economic status, etc. impede or propel students, faculty, and staff.

  • Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Promotes the vision, mission, and core values of McGeorge School of Law.
