Daytime Hospitalist — FTE (Direct Hire)
Location: Bluffton, South Carolina
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, Day Shift

About the Role
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Daytime Hospitalist to join a collegial inpatient team at a community hospital in Hilton Head, SC. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity focused on daytime coverage with emphasis on high-quality patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and clinical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient care for adult medical patients during daytime shifts.
  • Admit, evaluate, manage, and discharge patients in accordance with hospital and clinical protocols.
  • Coordinate care with consultants, nursing staff, case management, and outpatient providers.
  • Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and ensure safe transitions of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and meet quality, utilization, and patient-safety metrics.
  • Serve as an on-site clinical leader for inpatient medical issues during assigned shifts.
  • Participate in performance improvement, peer review, and hospital committees as required.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine (Hospital Medicine experience preferred).
  • Active or eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with EHR documentation preferred.
