Full time writers can work in a variety of fields, such as journalism, marketing, technical writing, content creation, or as authors. They may be employed by companies, media outlets, agencies, or work as freelancers. The role often involves researching topics, creating original content, editing drafts, and adhering to deadlines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time writer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Writer, you need excellent written communication skills, a strong command of grammar and style, and often a degree in English, journalism, or a related field. Familiarity with word processing software, content management systems, and sometimes SEO or digital publishing tools is typically required. What You'll Do

  • Research, write, and revise 5-6 high-quality clinical monographs per month (targeting 60+ over the term)
  • Collaborate closely with our team of veterinarians, editors, and reviewers to refine and elevate each piece
  • Respond to detailed peer reviewer feedback and editorial input with professionalism and precision
  • Work with our content team to shape the future of Standards of Care and raise the bar for clinical writing in veterinary medicine

  • 5+ years of clinical experience, with a preference for both specialty and general practice experience.

  • Strong understanding of peer-reviewed publishing and content production processes.
  • Proficiency with medical content management systems and digital tools.

Preferred:

  • We pay our team well.
  • We offer medical, dental and vision benefits and 401K with match.
