Full-Time Equipment Operations Manager
Lake Mary, FL (In-Office Position)
American Premier Services operates a multi-state fleet of trucks and heavy equipment supporting environmental and land development operations. We are seeking an Equipment Operations Manager to work directly with and support the Vice President of Field Operations in coordinating maintenance, organizing repair documentation, tracking fleet costs, and communicating with equipment dealers and vendors. This is an execution-focused support role. Final approval authority for major repair and replacement decisions remains with the VP of Field Operations.
Core Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of all Company-owned equipment, trailers, vehicles, and major assets, including ownership documents, warranties, licensing, registrations, compliance records, and service history.
  • Track equipment utilization and recommend redistribution of underutilized or aging assets as needed.
  • Coordinate the purchase, transfer, replacement, disposal, and rental of equipment to support operations needs across multiple markets.
  • Administer preventative maintenance programs and coordinate routine maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and service life.
  • Schedule equipment and vehicle repairs with dealerships, vendors, and repair facilities, obtaining competitive estimates and ensuring timely, cost-effective completion.
  • Monitor recurring maintenance issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Coordinate accident repairs and insurance claims for Company equipment and vehicles as assigned.

Requirements
  • Two - five years in heavy equipment dealership service department, fleet maintenance coordination, and/or construction equipment rental operations
  • Familiarity with equipment brans such as John Deere, Bobcat, Kubota, and Ditch Witch
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of diesel and hydraulic service terminology preferred
  • Comfortable communicating directly with dealership service departments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive team player
  • Able to manage multiple service requests simultaneously
