The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator (Level 2) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of configuring and managing core Microsoft products, including Domain Controller (DC), Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Server (DNS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Exchange, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, the ability to secure Windows Server environments, and the maintenance of infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
  • Configuration and Management:
  • Configure and manage Domain Controllers, Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, Exchange, and SCCM.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols for Windows Server environments.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting tasks to resolve complex issues within the Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Diagnoses and resolve performance bottlenecks and system failures.
  • Maintenance:
  • Regularly update and patch Windows Servers to ensure system stability and security.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to Level 1 administrators as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Windows Server OS.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Thorough understanding and experience configuring core Microsoft Products (DC, AD, DNS, WSUS, Exchange, SCCM).
  • Proven experience in securing Windows Server environments.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows Server issues.
  • Experience with maintaining and optimizing Windows Server infrastructure.

  • Required:
  • Security+ Certification
  • 1 Windows Server OS Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate)
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess an active TSC/SCI clearance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
