Location: Remote with occasional visits to Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

This position develops, builds, and modifies Epic applications, focusing on complex analysis, design, development, testing, and support services. The role involves leading and monitoring midsize to large-scale projects across multiple functional departments, ensuring integration and optimization of Epic clinical applications.

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Leads and monitors midsize to large-scale projects within multiple functional departments.

โ€ข Performs complex designs, implements, maintains, and provides ongoing optimization and support for Epic clinical applications.

โ€ข Conducts workflow assessments, captures business needs, and analyzes internal systems to determine functional requirements.

โ€ข Works within cross-functional teams and with end-users to achieve application integration.

โ€ข Performs builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as needed.

โ€ข Supports applications throughout all phases of implementation.

โ€ข Delivers post-implementation training, support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

โ€ข Configures vendor applications and products.

โ€ข Maintains system documentation and develops system specifications and procedures.

โ€ข Defines and documents user requirements.

โ€ข Applies project planning and project management methodologies.

โ€ข Coordinates and leads short-duration projects; monitors project process, progress, and results.

โ€ข Develops test plans, prepares test data, and performs system testing.

โ€ข Provides on-site user support during implementations.

โ€ข Takes on-call for system application support at scheduled times.

โ€ข Audits data entered by end-users.

โ€ข Troubleshoots and tracks issues and problems.

โ€ข Applies systems development methodology to solve problems.

โ€ข Handles multiple assignments simultaneously.

โ€ข Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Skills:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or Associate degree with seven years of Epic application experience.

โ€ข 5 years of Epic application experience.

โ€ข Epic certification(s).

โ€ข Proficiency with information systems technology such as Microsoft Office Products.

โ€ข Experience in leading projects and providing expert consultative guidance.

โ€ข Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

โ€ข Experience working in a hospital or other healthcare organization.

โ€ข Experience leading meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties.

โ€ข Experience working with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

โ€ข Ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems
