Position Description
We are seeking a full-time Journeyman Welder to support commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in shop and field environments while adhering to all safety, quality, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical welding skills, can interpret drawings and weld symbols, and works effectively as part of a project team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Fit, tack, weld, and fabricate piping and structural components accurately
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe working condition
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Coordinate with pipefitters, foremen, and supervisors to meet project schedules
  • Assist with shop fabrication and field installation as needed
  • Complete assigned documentation accurately and timely

Education, Training, Licenses, and Certifications
  • Journeyman-level welding experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Proficiency in TIG welding; MIG and Stick experience preferred
  • Ability to pass welding qualification tests as required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions
  • OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour certification preferred
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as required

  • Punctual, dependable, and safety-focused with a professional attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Possession of appropriate hand tools and power tools
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification requirements
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and post-employment fitness test in compliance with company policy
