Job description

Falck is a global emergency medical services (EMS) provider originating from Denmark that currently services 3 states in the US: California, Colorado and Texas. Falck has been operating in the US since 2010 and is the second largest private provider of emergency medical services in the country today. Our BLS and ALS services impact not only the lives of our patients, but their families and communities.
Pay Rate: $23-$25/Hr. (Depending on Experience)
Available shifts: night shift position 1800-0500 or swing shift position 1300-0100 (start times of the shifts may vary)
Full-Time- weekends are required (every other weekend). This is an on-site position in the city of Orange or San Diego.

Position Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for recording hours of work, processing, coordinating schedules, and monitoring basic operations for Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego Counties. This position has direct contact with all department managers, EMS employees, general managers, special event venues, and customers.

Responsibilities:
The Scheduler may be assigned one or more duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compiles, composes and types memos, routine correspondence, and statistical reports.
• Responsible for designing schedules for the EMS employees assuring that all shifts are filled.
• Responsible for receiving and processing employee call outs.
• Auditing penalty-pay requests.
• Coordinating vacation & unscheduled sick time for Ambulance & Falck operations.
• This position will also help maintain an electronic employee database that tracks key payroll and schedule information about all employees.
• Has the authority to schedule and approve overtime as necessary to meet appropriate staffing requirements to assure accuracy and makes corrections as needed.
• Scheduler works closely with field employees, supervisors, and managers to coordinate the schedule and payroll effort.
• Reports to the Scheduling Manager although may also have some interactions with Operations and Division Managers
• Perform other job related as assigned by Manager or Director of Scheduling.
