Job description

The entry level Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in the fill department. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the manual fill line.
This role is a full-time weekend position at the 52 Springvale Rd, Red Lion, PA location. It is worked at 36 hours but paid at 40 hours with an additional shift differential. The hours are 11am to 11pm, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect panels or parts to verify specifications meet Quality standards while maintaining established production standards.
  • Read and follow established Manufacturing Operating Procedures or Standard Operating Procedures without deviation unless approved by Supervision.
  • Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required.
  • Efficiently use banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of product or material.
  • Monitor the operation, make minor adjustments and perform basic preventative maintenance, such as cleaning the line.
  • Position parts and monitor operations on equipment while producing product at established production standards.
  • Keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly.
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

Essential Functions
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 5 lbs. and maximum of 50 lbs. repetitively for at least an 8 hour shift.
  • Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, and feeler gauges.
  • With proper PPE provided, must be able to work in an area that may contain non hazardous airborne particles due to the manufacturing process.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface within a diverse workforce.
