Job description

If you're tired of unpredictable schedules, old equipment, and being just another number, Weaver's of Wellsville offers something different. We're looking for a professional CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our team delivering quality food products throughout 200 miles of Harrisburg, PA.

You'll drive well- maintained, automatic Kenworth refrigerated trucks, work a consistent Tuesday through Friday schedule, be home every night, and enjoy three-day weekends every week. For more than 135 years, we've built our reputation on dependable service, and we're looking for drivers who take the same pride in representing our company and serving our customers.

This full-time position offers $23 - $25 per hour, fully paid first-person health insurance after 90 days, paid time off, six paid holidays, a 401(k) after one year, and a 20% employee discount at Weaver's Butcher Shop. Join a family-owned company that values hard work, takes pride in its people, and has been serving customers since 1889.

Compensation:

$23 - $25 hourly


Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Loading trucks.
  • Delivering to supermarkets, farm markets, and specialty grocers/food stores.
  • For some stops, this means pallet unloading; for others, hand cart unloading. Most of our products are refrigerated or frozen.
  • Compile any delivery-related paperwork or reports that are required
  • Maintain full compliance with traffic restrictions and pre-established delivery routes
  • Communicate with customers in a polite and professional way to provide a positive customer experience
  • Transport and deliver new products to clients in a safe and timely manner
  • Double-check orders before and after delivery to guarantee correctness and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Applicants will be expected to be able to lift 70 lbs.

  • The job requires a CDL Class B or higher, as well as the ability to operate forklifts and power jacks

  • Applicants must be 21 years or older

  • Applicants must have reliable transportation

  • Preference for candidates with prior delivery driver or related job experience

  • Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record

  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and time management skills

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience of a graduate certificate (GED)
