Description
Position Summary
To provide security for patients, visitors, employees, and property of Northeastern Health System.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Patrols the property to ensure safety and overall facility integrity in regards to patients, staff, and visitors.
Investigates, analyses, and takes appropriate action for situations involving disturbances, intoxicated persons, unauthorized visitors or any other situation that could jeopardize the safety/security of patients, staff, visitors, property, or equipment.
Collects and safeguards patients' valuables.
Enforces facility policies as designated or assigned by hospital administration; parking, traffic, visitors, etc.
Responds to all codes, watches, warnings of disaster, and serves as a member of the Fire Brigade.
Required to complete an Activity Report at the end of each shift and forward same to the Director of Security.
Routinely examines and secures all points of ingress and egress.
Follows policies and procedures regarding attendance and work hours.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Requirements
Minimum Education - Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
Required Course(s)/Training - C.L.E.E.T. Certification, NIMS:100, 200
Preferred Experience - One year of security experience
