POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Team Manager, the Warehouse Technician will
  • Perform shipping, receiving, inventory management, and issuance of materials to support manufacturing and supply chain functions within a total task, team-based operating system.
  • The incumbent will learn and perform assignments depending on functional requirements across our warehouse and distribution teams.
  • This role will contribute to the achievement of company initiatives in order to meet our safety, quality, process reliability, customer service, cost, and innovation goals.
  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, while operating, monitoring, and controlling equipment, systems and processes associated with inbound receipts, outbound orders, and internal customer support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform put away to relocate material in inventory
  • Consolidate materials in the warehouse for the rotation of stock in FIFO to create warehouse space
  • Shrink-wrap material for internal and external customers and loading trailers
  • Scan unload trailers from offsite warehouse or sister plants
  • Ability to check in, process all bulk tankers, assure quantities will fit, obtaining QC release, screen checks before and after, unloading and adjusting the SAP inventory (when receiving hazardous chemical tankers, proper training and Personal Protection Equipment are required)
  • Housekeeping / sanitation -responsible for designated area within the warehouse - to be tour ready at all time
  • Ability to obtain a fork truck license and operate fork truck in a safe manner
  • Adhere to food safety procedures/GMP and ensure a safe work environment
  • Participate in team/department meetings, actively offering suggestions were warranted
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Accurate clerical and numerical skills
  • Minimum of 6 months of warehouse experience
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Ability to operate a fork truck efficiently and safely
  • Ability to work overtime (daily and weekends) required on short notice
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with various departments and levels of personnel
  • Ability to lift 50-pound boxes/bags and move/roll 100-300+ pound containers/drums

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with SAP
  • Food manufacturing experience
