Job description

Overview

Position: Systems/Network Administrator for HUSTLER Casino and Lucky Lady CasinoLocation: Two casinos in GardenaBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(K), vacation and sick time, paid holidays.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with expertise in managing complex IT systems in demanding, high-availability environments. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent technical skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Qualifications
  • Ability to travel between both casino locations in Gardena as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in confined spaces like server rooms.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular hours to maintain 24/7 network operations.
Responsibilities

Objectives of This Role

  • Maintain and optimize essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, servers, software, and hardware.
  • Lead and implement projects to enhance system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Resolve critical IT issues and ensure business continuity.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT Infrastructure: Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure in Casinos.
  • Ensure System Uptime and Reliability: Proactively monitor systems to ensure 24/7 availability and minimize disruptions. Implement redundancy and failover solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Quickly diagnose and resolve network, hardware, software, and system issues to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Network Management: Design, deploy, and maintain functional and secure networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN). Configure and install network devices (routers, switches, firewalls). Monitor network performance and security.
  • System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows servers, Dell hardware (VxRail, vSAN), VMware ESXi, and Veeam Backup & Replication. Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches. Manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for support, maintenance, and upgrades. Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI compliance).
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, networks, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in network or systems administration, ideally in a high-availability environment like a casino.
    • Hands-on experience with networking hardware (Cisco, Cisco Meraki) and software.
    • 2+ years with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, and access points.
    • Experience with surveillance camera systems is a plus
    • Strong experience with Windows Server, Dell hardware (VxRail, vSAN), VMware ESXi, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
    • Proficiency in networking setup and configuration (switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
  • Certifications: CCNA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices
    • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and able to access tight spaces (e.g., under workstations and server rooms), climb ladders, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
