About the role:

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for developing and executing visual strategies to enhance the presentation of products in the stores. This role includes creating visually appealing displays, ensuring brand consistency, and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize product sell-through. The Visual Merchandiser is a leader, trains store staff and stays up-to-date with design and industry trends.

Essential Functions:

Training & Development

  • Guide and train retail store staff responsible for the execution of merchandise and fixture placement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Visual Merchandising on the content and implementation of directives, playbooks, and additional VM reference materials.

Product Presentation

  • Plan and implement visually engaging merchandise displays in stores, ensuring they represent the Christy Sports brand message effectively and maximize sales by creating a compelling shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with the Director of VM to carry out an effective strategy to ensure optimal playbook adherence across all stores.
  • Install eye-catching and innovative store window displays that align with current seasonal initiatives provided by the Director of VM.
  • Communicate updates and changes regarding product promotion, signage, pricing and implementation, in conjunction with store operations
  • Optimize and refine store layouts and provide input on allocation, backstock and assortment mix alongside Merchandising, Planning, and Store Operations
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging visual merchandising trends and develop strategies to integrate them.

Reporting & Communication

  • Analyze sales trends of the merchandise, test/learn/scale according to business results
  • Provide feedback on merchandising assortment mix (color, print, brand mix)
  • Demonstrate open communication, cross-functionally, by attending meetings and store visit walkthroughs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Visual Merchandising role for a multi-store retailer
  • Someone who likes to go the extra mile while collaborating with cross functional teams on a shared roadmap
  • Understand the nature of a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.?
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, solve problems and anticipate challenges
  • Deliver high-quality work with minimal supervisor
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and/or service
  • Apply expertise to solve problems and support operational decision and teams
  • Be able to communicate progress, risk and outcomes clearly.
