Job description

Covered 6 is excited to announce positions for Virtual Patrol Officers/Police Technicians. VPOs will work for Covered 6 and be assigned and embedded with a major metropolitan law enforcement agency (LE), Amongst many critical functions, VPOs will perform Virtual Patrol in a secure facility, monitoring camera systems to detect criminal and suspicious activities, assist law enforcement with investigations, and help direct responding emergency personnel to areas throughout the city. VPOs will work under the supervision of the law enforcement agency. NOTE: Although we are seeking people with solid computer skills, high attention span, and solid communication skills, we are primarily focusing on people who are extroverted, warm and friendly and team players. We hire for personality!

Position starts at $25 an hour. Incremental pay steps are available based on both time and work performance.
Position Description

  • Knowledge of motor vehicles i.e. Year, Make and Model
  • Proactively monitor assigned systems for criminal activity
  • Monitor LIVE 9-1-1 system
  • Clearly articulate and communicate their observations to Law Enforcement
  • Adhere to law enforcement and C6 standards and policies and procedures
  • Adhere to company brand and policies
  • Assist LE with investigations
  • Report writing
  • Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Pass a pre-employment FBI fingerprint check
  • Pass a 40 hour Law Enforcement training
  • Attend and pass C6 pre-deployment training
  • Demonstrated ability to work skillfully and effectively under stress
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems

  • Grace Under Pressure

IDEAL CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS

  • Emergency dispatch experience
