Job description

Virtual Telemetry Monitor Technician   - Centralized Monitoring Virtual Department

Work location: You will be working onsite at - Texas health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093.

Work hours: Full Time Nights, 36 hours a week, 3 -12-hour shifts. 7:00pm - 7:00am with rotating weekends.

Here's What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • 1 year of telemetry monitoring is strongly preferred
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology
     

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
  • Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
  • Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
  • Serves as a patient advocate.
  • Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
